Remanance

Remanence, in its first layer form, was created in 2013 for Künstlerhaus Bethanien in Berlin. It is comprised of twenty-five re-photographed portraits of my mother when she was my age, out-framed and displaced. The installation then travelled to Galerie E.G.P where it was inverted and turned into a wallpaper; then the wall of that show was cut out and travelled to Paris Photo LA where the polaroids were blown up and nailed onto the walls. I am now working on creating a dimensional sculpture (in motion) out of those walls to create Remanence’s fourth layer.
